October in Daytona Must Mean Biketoberfest!
Monday, September 26th, 2011

That rumble you hear is bikers from around the country revving up their Harley’s for the trek to central Florida and Biketoberfest, Oct. 13-16, 2011 in Daytona!

A sure sign of fall is the sights and sounds of thousands of motorcycles parading up and down the streets and beaches of Daytona for one of the nation’s top biker festivals.

A motorcycle tradition since 1993, Biketoberfest is again ready to deliver a full slate of music, food, races, bike shows and ample entertainment.

It all starts on Main Street where vendors galore set up for Biketoberfest near popular bars like Froggy’s and Dirty Harry’s. But the fun extends far beyond Main Street. Head over to Daytona Beach and you’ll find bikers enjoying the sun, surf and sand while driving up and down the packed beach sand or attending the Boardwalk Classic Bike Show.

You can also check out Beach Street, home to the original Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Harley-Davidson. The store, which will soon be converted into a Harley-Davidson museum, is the centerpiece to another section filled with vendors and entertainment. Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona will also host to a free concert by Blue Oyster Cult at 6:30 pm on Oct. 15.

Want more? World famous Daytona International Speedway adds to the excitement, offering up races, bikini contests, demonstration rides and more much.
